This is a personal recommendation of Mr. Ron Baggerman, especially as to his musicianship, his outstanding ability to perform on my 12 stringed instrument, The Stick, to audiences in clubs, colleges and trade shows, and his readiness to perform and talk about it on television.
As inventor, manufacturer, and instructor of the Stick, I have witnessed Ron's remarkable growth in his orchestral, two-handed tapping technique of the Stick. Ron was one.of the early pioneering players, and has become very accomplished in the percussive string techniques, achieving musical results one might expect from the keyboard, but with the expressive melodic techniques of the fingerboard. He is one of the very best players and uses a touch technique that is of serious interest to guitarists the world over, and on an instrument that was optimized for this technique.
Ron has assisted me personally in various European seminars, cultural music events, and music trade shows. He is personable, with a serious yet inspiring approach to his presentations. He is capable of holding the rapt attention of a group.
I know Ron to have the highest personal qualities of good character and high ideals, as well as raw talent and imagination. And he backs up these qualities with hard work and a caring disposition.
I refer students to Ron, and rely on him to play and teach at events that I've scheduled, such as the Frankfurt "Music Messe" trade shows where he performed to thousands of Europeans. I am sure that Ron will be an asset to any concert broadcast or lecture.He is a pleasure to watch in action. And he has the rare combination of fiery musical talent, tempered with a courteous, genteel and articulate présentation.
