1.Which Stick do you play ?
I play a 10 string polycarbonate
2.What tuning do you use?
standard
3.Which gauge strings?
light for the moment but I'd like to go for some medium or heavy
4.How long do you play Stick?
I've got my stick for 10 years but did not practice so much.I had a 2-3 years stop and I'm just starting again playing for 2 month.
5.Which other instruments do you play and how long?
I was playing keyboards, mainly synthesizer (during 15 years).I've stoppped ten years ago when I bought
my Stick.
6.If you would have to choose to 4 levels of playing in which 1=absolute
beginner 2=beginner but knows some music theory,play a simple song
3=intermediate 4=advanced , which number would you give yourself? I think I
choose the level

7.Please give me also a number(1,2,3 or 4) of the level of knowledge/skill of
the next subject:
-Reading Staff Notation 3
-Reading Tablature 2
-Can you play major/minor chords? In open and close harmony?
I can play play major and minor chords on the left hand.
-Do you know all 7 modes/scales/chords ? no I don't....
-Can you play chordprogressions? yes
-Can you play a song:
yes, I'm reworking know "Stella by starlight" and "Black Orpheus"
8.Do you play in a band or solo?
I play solo for the moment.
9.Which specific subjects would you like the teachers to concentrate on?
I'm working at home on theory of harmony because I'm interested in Jazz and I'd
like to practice imprvisation in a while. I'm mainly playng chords/arpegios
on the left hand so I'd like to learn so technique for basslines. I'd like to
be able to play some funk basslines too (maybe some twohanded bass
technic).I'm also interested in the playing of classical music and blues.
10.On Saturdaynight you can also play a few songs at the pubconcerts, would
you like to play a few songs as well?
I'm not sure I'll be able to play
something...but why not if i'm ok on a song in a month....
11.On Sundaynight we?ve got the Jamsession, would you like to jam with us?
I'd like to try....
12.Which kind of music do you like?
From jazz to world and classic music. Some rock and blues too, of course.
13.How did you discover the Stick?
The guitarist of the band I just came to leave had found a stick in a music shop...and I saw him playing stick in concert and repetitions.It was about 20 years ago.
14.What is your goal in music ?
One of my favorite album was "Acadie" from Daniel Lanois. I especially appreciate this kind of work on sound and composition.
15.Do you eat meat/fish or are you vegetarian ?
(We?ve got to know this for our communal dinner) I'm ok with all kind of food.
