    Seminar 2004 in Zaandam/Holland

    Hello Sympathic Stix Maniacs,

    Earlier this year Frank Leurs and I organized a European Stick Seminar 2004 in Holland.

    It took some moving meetings with Frank and I , but we finally have decided that the next Stick Seminar 2005 will be held the 8-9-10 April again in Zaandam (near Amsterdam).

  • Youenn Landreau - Nantes France - Youenn was one of the pioneering players in France, not only is he a great player who plays in many different groups, he's also one of the organizers of the Stick/Tap Guitar Festival in Allaire/Bretagne which has been held yearly since 2001

    -9 April: Courses and master classes in the day and concerts at night in different pubs around Zaandam.

    Amplification during Seminar:
    The seminar with the big group will be all with headphones. Everybody has to bring a headphone+ headphone amp (or regular amp with headphone output)
    Only the teachers will play through an amp , so the students don't get interference from other players and can hear himself very well.

    Only in the small groups will everybody play through an amp.

    We appreciate it if every student can play a small simple tune in front of all the other students. Nothing fancy, although that's also allowed:)
    You don't have to do this if you really don't want to do this.

    In the pubs students can also play a couple of songs.

    Lodging:
    Free communal sleeping places at Frank Leurs Dental Laboratory (bring your false teeth, Frank will check'm:)) bring a sleeping bag and air matrass.

    Price of the seminar 8-9-10 April:
    -210 euro for early birds and 240 euro after January 2005. Pay 110 euro in cash at the seminar and transfer 100 euro before Februari 2005 to the next account, and note : Seminar 2005 Complete

    The latest news: there are many who mailed me and told me that they can't make it for the whole weekend the 9-10 April.

    So....guess what: you can also book for one of the seminar days saturday 9 or sunday 10 April.

    The price is 120 euro including lunch and you still can have a free place to sleep at Frank's if you bring a sleeping bag and small (air) matrass.

    Transfer the 120 euro to our account and note the day (9 or 10) which you want to book.
